As I was driving home today, my cellphone rang with the high-pitched "alarm" sound I had it set to so I'd know it was work calling. Except... work shouldn't be calling because it's not work anymore. *blink* So I answered (which I shouldn't have while driving, especially not I-95 in the rain, but meh).
Ex.opposite.number was calling to ask me about some experiment data processing. Specifically the day I left half-done because he wouldn't pick it up. Specifically about what to do with a situation I went over with him several times and that he's handled by himself a couple of times. So even if he should have called me, which he shouldn't have, it should have been a week ago. Especially since he mentioned that the particular issue was one he noticed on the 31st (though if he'd been doing his damn job he would have noticed it on the 27th at the latest).
*sigh* I told him to do what the instructions said. He claims he's been trying to email me... whereas as far as I knew my account went away when I did for security reasons. So I gave him my civilian account, and he gets... I think one more question/call/email free. After that I bitch to his boss. *evil grin with fangs* Who happens to be my old boss and a friend and really cool guy. *bigger grin*
I mean, ye gods. *sigh* I quit. A while ago. He knew about it a good four or five weeks before my last day.
